DgFlick Album Xpress Pro is intended to create digital photo albums. In this respect, the developers of this product seem to have the intention of enabling anyone to create their own photo albums with good results and minimum effort.
The process of creating an album with this software is quite easy thanks to the help of various wizards, which you can choose according to your skills, interests and likes. In this regard, there is a wizard called Perfect, which offers automatic layout setting. Two other available wizards, named Auto and Ready, let you start from the desired template and pick the photos. Finally, you can also have the freedom to start from scratch and design a completely original album.
The program allows you to set page size and decide whether you want to use facing pages. Photos can easily be added from the library, but they need to have been previously imported individually or in batches. Then, you may resize and position them as you please. Fortunately, you can also use the available tools to align, flip and arrange the elements.
In the lower part of the working region, there is a series of tabs that help you find the desired function without difficulty. It is nice that you can change anything at any time, even if you have started from a template. So, it is possible to switch to another theme and choose a different layout. Likewise, you can add masks, frames, clipart elements, background images, shapes, text, effects and even correct color. There is, for instance, a large collection of clipart items, including stars, flowers, bells, hearts, etc., which can add a little romance to the album if they are used with moderation and good taste.
All in all, DgFlick Album Xpress Pro has the advantage of producing excellent results without much effort on the part of the user. If I had to mention one limitation of this program, it would be that most of the templates, clipart and themes are too oriented towards creating wedding photo albums, which limits its use for other type of occasions. The product is part of a software family by the same developer and can be tried for free. However, the trial version does not allow to save your work.
